BaseMapped LLC ("we", "us", or "our") operates the SpeakSheet mobile application ("SpeakSheet" or the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use the App.
SpeakSheet is a voice-powered invoice maker that lets contractors, freelancers, and small businesses dictate job details, generate invoices, and export editable PDF invoice documents. The free tier includes 3 new invoices per calendar month, with optional rewarded ads available for additional invoice runs when supported.
When you use SpeakSheet's voice-to-invoice feature, the App accesses your microphone to record audio. SpeakSheet sends the recording to our authenticated processing service, which uses OpenAI to generate a transcript and structured invoice fields. We do not intentionally persist raw audio recordings in the SpeakSheet database.
Invoice details, line items, client names, client email addresses or phone numbers you enter, addresses, notes, job records, and invoice totals are stored primarily on your device. Free-tier invoice data is local-first and is not intentionally synced to our cloud database.
For active premium subscribers, device-linked cloud sync stores invoice records and supported settings in Supabase under the random identity for the current app installation. This is not a recoverable login: restoring a store purchase after reinstall does not restore previously synced invoices. Large local assets such as logo image files and custom template HTML may remain device-local.
Job photos are stored on your device. Photo metadata, such as captions and local file references, may be included in premium cloud sync. Actual image files are not uploaded to BaseMapped servers unless you explicitly share them through email, messaging, or another app.
SpeakSheet does not require login credentials for free-tier use. When the App connects to automated invoice processing, premium cloud sync, or subscription reconciliation, it creates a random anonymous app user ID. We do not collect passwords.
Subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple App Store and Google Play. We receive subscription status, entitlement information, renewal status, and purchase validation data through RevenueCat to unlock premium features. RevenueCat receives the random app user ID plus limited app, plan, paywall interaction, and high-level usage attributes. We do not send RevenueCat your personal or company name, business email, phone number, invoice details, client data, photos, or PDFs. We do not collect or store your payment card information.
We may collect limited technical data such as device type, operating system version, app version, crash logs, and performance data to maintain app stability and troubleshoot problems.
Free-tier users may see banner advertisements and optional rewarded full-screen advertisements provided by Google AdMob. We request non-personalized ads by default. Google AdMob may receive device, app, and ad interaction data needed to deliver ads, measure performance, and protect against fraud or abuse. Premium subscribers do not see in-app ads.
We do not sell personal information. We share limited data only as needed with:
Local invoice data remains on your device until you delete it or remove the App. Premium cloud-synced data is retained while your anonymous account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can delete individual jobs inside the App. Choose Settings → Delete Account and Data to delete your SpeakSheet cloud account, cloud jobs, cloud settings, and related usage data, then clear local job and business profile data on that device. If cloud deletion cannot be confirmed, the App reports that clearly and still removes local data; retry or contact hello@basemapped.com. Purchase, transaction, and subscription records may remain with Apple, Google, and RevenueCat for billing, fraud prevention, tax, and legal obligations. Deleting the SpeakSheet account does not cancel a store subscription.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including TLS encryption for data in transit and provider-level access controls. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, and you are responsible for reviewing exported invoices before sending them to clients.
SpeakSheet is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.
Your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. By using the App, you understand that information may be processed outside your jurisdiction.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and may provide additional notice in the App where required.
